Downingtown Rock Gym offers 2 different camp options:
BASE CAMP: This camp is designed for climbers to learn and practice all the foundation skills they need for climbing. Even if your climber has scaled our walls before, each day will bring new excitement and challenges. All campers will learn proper safety, how to put on a harness, various knots, climbing technique and more. Climbers staying for a full day experience will have the added bonus of climbing advanced walls.
This camp is available as half day or full day sessions. Open to ages 5 – 12.
ASCENT CAMP: This camp is designed for climbers who are ready to take the next step and ASCEND to a new level of climbing. Campers will spend three days in the gym practicing and honing their skills. All climbers will begin their belay training. Climbers will then spend 2 days visiting local climbing sites to experience the thrill of climbing on real rocks. All equipment and transportation is provided.
Open to ages 9 – 13.
